If you want to change the "look and feel" of your N810 in ways beyond
just changing the wallpaper and theme, you might find the following to be
of interest:
- The boot splash screens are in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/ with filenames
qgn_indi_startup_nokia_logo.png (for the Nokia logo that is
displayed first) and qgn_indi_nokia_hands.png (for the hands
image displayed later). Back them up and replace them with your choice
of 800x480 png image. The
Internet
Tablet Talk Forums[sic] have more details.
- You can customize the LED blink patterns and colors by
editing
/etc/mce/mce.ini. You can activate and deactivate patterns from within
your own software by sending dbus events.
- If the ambient light sensor auto-dimming the display bothers you,
you can
turn
it off by removing the filter-brightness-als module from
the Modules= list in /etc/mce/mce.ini.
